Daiichi Sankyo Recognized for Achieves Position of Leadership for Climate Change Action in “CDP JAPAN 500 CLIMATE CHANGE REPORT 2013”

Daiichi Sankyo Company, Limited (hereafter, Daiichi Sankyo) today announced that the company has been selected “Climate Performance Leadership Index (CDLI)” as a highly achieving company for the action to mitigate the risks of climate change and reduce emissions, as a result of investigation and evaluation on climate change by CDP.

CDP evaluates the company actions to mitigate climate change based on the contents of the provided information from the companies, and the companies featured in the CPLI are recognized with their highest performance to measure, evidence and manage the greenhouse gas emissions.

This time, 12 of the large Japanese 500 companies (FTSE Japan Index 500) are selected.

We believe that the achievement results in the high evaluation of our constant efforts in our environmental managements and information disclosure. We would like to continue to address the global environmental issues and to contribute to create the sustainable society.
